OH NO

So last night at the Waseca Archery Club party I had a can of Sunkist orange pop. Did you know that Sunkist orange pop has caffeine in it???? I did not but I found out when I went to bed last night and I was all jittery and could not fall asleep. Was not good.

GREAT WEEKEND

I had a really great weekend. Saturday I babysat Liam and Josie. We had lots of fun. I discovered it is a lot harder to watch Liam and Josie and Dexter and Charlie! They are all a lot of work but tons of fun! Saturday night Amy had Rick and me over for my birthday supper. Adam grilled for us. Jese also came up for my birthday. Christa was not feeling well so she did not come up. Jese made the best cake ever for my birthday, it is called a tuxedo cake. It was sooooo good. He did a great job making it. We had lots of fun at Amys house. Sunday I went to Rochester to watch an archery shoot. My wrist was way to sore for me to shoot. It was fun just to watch everyone and visit. When we got back I was to lazy to really want to do anything so Rick and I took the dogs for a walk. Then last night we just watched a movie.

Today I went to the dentist to have the second part of my root canal done. Now I have two more appointments and it will be all done. I am going to make cup cakes this afternoon to take to the archery club tonight. We have our end of the year party. Should be lots of fun.

I guess I better go eat lunch and then get those cupcakes done.

OUCH

Its another cold day. I went for a run this morning and it did not feel good to run today. I hate that. It is not often that I have to stop and walk but I had today. I think I was just tired and cold. My fingers were cold before I even went out but I am refusing to turn my heat up anymore then 66. Who wants to have the heat on in March....not me!

So last night since it was the last night of league I figured I better shot weather or not my wrist hurt. Well while I was shooting it really did not hurt at all. But today I am paying for it. I actually woke up during the night and it hurt. Whats up with that! Then this morning it was really achy. I have a sweet bump on my wrist where the tendons are all swelled up. It got bigger over night. I know it is pretty cool. The good news is I shot pretty good last night. I got a 295 33X.

I have been cleaning away today. Trying to get the house clean before Liam and Josie come over on Sat. I am going to babysit them for a little while. I have not had them over in forever. I was going to have Liam over for a play date but that was the day my tooth went crazy and I had to go to the dentist.

I guess I better get back to cleaning. Then I have to go to the store. I am making baked fish with orange-jicama slaw for supper. I need to get a couple things for it.

Today is my Friday!!!!

Today is my Friday...... here I come 4 day weekend!!! Because it is my Friday I went to Kwik Trip and got myself a coffee AND a donut! It was super good. I have a donut addiction so I cannot have them often or I would turn into the donut blimp. I should not have had one because now I want another one........

Not much has been going on. I have just been working. Tue. night I had our last night of league in Waseca. I only shot a half of a game because my wrist was killing me. Tonight I have league in Faribault. Not sure if I will be able to shoot because again my wrist is killing me. I had to do my parking updates at work yesterday and with all the writing and typing it really did not help the wrist situation. Oh well I will go to league regardless.

Poor poor Rick is super sick. He has a really bad cold. He was so sick that last night after work I went to his house and took Dudley for a walk with Dexter . It was a lot more work to walk two dogs. Dudley wanted to be in the lead at all times. And then when we turned around we had a big leash tangle up. Then Dexter just wanted to play with Dudley and not walk. I am sure I look pretty funny trying to keep the two dogs walking. It was so cold out walking, my fingers froze. I wish the warm weather would come back.

I have not lifted all week because again my wrist hurts and lifting really makes it bad. I also have not biked or ran since Sunday. I really need to get moving or I will never be able to run 13 miles in June.

All of this before 6:00 A. M.

I think I should just go back to bed!!!!!

Busy Weekend

Rick in the Shoot-Off

I had a fun weekend. Sat. I got up early and Rick and I left for Duluth for the MSAA State Shoot. We got up there around 10:00 and we shot at noon. It was lots of fun shooting. I got to shot with Kim and Julie so it was just like shooting at home. I did okay. I got 294 35X. I had a 96 in the first game then a 98 and then 100. As you can see I just need to settle down and then I did good. Something about shooting the big state tournament always brings out the nerves. Rick did good. He got 4th in the money class in a shoot-off for 4th and 5th place. Lots of people from FAC and WAC did very good bringing home lots of trophies. After shooting Rick and I came home. We got back to Waseca about 8:00. We watched the movie Twilight. It was pretty good.

Sunday morning Rick and I went for a 16 mile bike ride. We got out before it got too windy. I was kind of a baby because I did not want to ride into the wind and I made Rick turn around. After all it was my first bike ride of the season, didn't want to push it to hard. The rest of Sunday I did lots of cleaning and fun stuff like that. Oh I did take Dexter to the dog wash place they have in Waseca. It is just like a car wash only for dogs. Dexter did not like it but he is nice and clean now. He really needed a bath. I was super tired last night so I was in bed by 8:30. You would think I would not be tired today but I am . It was hard to get out of bed this morning to go to work. It must be the rain.

$1639.00

$1639.00 that is what it cost for a Crown, Core Buildup and pin and a Root Canal. I get to pay $550. of that insurance will pay the rest. All of that for one tooth. That is a lot of money for just one lone tooth. Sure am glad I have some insurance.

Yesterday I went to the Doctor for my wrist. I have Dequervain's Tenosyrovitis. It is the tube that is wrapped around the tendon's on the thumb side of my wrist swelling up and causing pain. It is from repetitive motion. It has been bugging me for awhile but has gotten really bad the last few weeks. So I finally went to the Dr. for it. The Dr. is going to give me a cortisone shot in my wrist to take the inflammation down. He was going to do it yesterday but he said it would hurt for a couple of days so we are waiting until after State. I get it on April 2. This is the same thing that Amy had wrong with her wrist that she had surgery for. Hopefully the shot will take care of it for me.

On Sat. it is the MSAA State shoot in Duluth. I am driving up with Rick in the morning and then coming back home after we shoot at noon. I decided not to stay up there this year to save a little money. Next year it is further away so we will have to stay up.

Well I have some cleaning to get done so I better get to it.

Bad Dog!!!

It was back to work for me yesterday after taking Monday off to go to the dentist. I have used 23 hours of sick leave this week. Good thing I have almost 600 hours of sick leave. Last night I had league in Waseca. I have not shot for a week because of my tooth making me sick. It went very well. I shot a 296 41 X. It is the first time this year I have shot over 40 X. I was happy with how it went.
So Dexter was a naughty boy last night. We went to bed around 9:00 and just as I was falling a sleep Dexter started to cry at the gate, I put a baby gate up in my room at night so he cannot go downstairs. Well of course I ignored him for awhile but then I gave up and let him outside to go potty. Well this morning I discovered that I really should not have ignored him because he left me a little pile of poop right by the gate. I sure am glad I did not step in it last night in the dark! So not sure if I should be mad at Dexter or myself for ignoring him when he was crying to get out. Lesson learned.
That is not all Dexter did that was naughty last night. He got my bra off my closet floor and chewed it up. He put a big hole in it. I was not very happy about that. He has not chewed on any of my clothes since the first couple of days I had him and I made him stop doing it. I don't think he was ever taught anything before I got him. He just did what he wanted. I guess I still have some work to do with him! It is just like having a kid, the teaching never ends!
Today is my Friday, I have my first 4 day weekend. I am happy to be on my 4 days on and 4 days off rotation.

Relief

Finally I got some relief from my tooth today. It has been a bad bad weekend......My temp crown fell off my tooth on Sat. morning so all weekend long I was miserable. It really sucked big time. I did not go to work on Sat. and Sunday I worked until 1:00 and then came home. I was CRABBY! This morning I did not go to work again. I called the dentist right away this morning and he got me right in. He decided that it was best to start the root canal. I was so happy to have it done. No more tooth pain!!!!! I really don't know what all the fuss about having a root canal done is about. It really did not hurt anymore then having a cavity filled. I bet the dentist does not have many people that are happy to have a root canal.

It is so nice out today. I just took Dexter for a walk. He is recovering well from being neutered. He can finally walk more then a foot without having to stop. Yesterday afternoon I had both Charlie and Dexter outside. As you can see by the pictures they have finally made friends.

I hope to get out and go for a run this afternoon. I am thinking by then my mouth will be done being numb and I should have lots of energy .

UPDATE

The news gets better and better for me today. I get to have a root canal. Will it never end!

POOR POOR ME!!!!!

So yesterday as you know I went to the dentist to have a crown work done. Last night the swelling did not go down and had moved down my neck and really started to hurt. Now I am not a baby because I have had a ton of dental work done, but I have never had my face stay swelled up and it has never hurt. I could not even move my neck because it hurt. So this morning the swelling is still here. So I called the dentist and I have to be on antibiotics. I guess I now have an infection in my tooth. I look like a balloon. I generally feel like crap! Not a good day for me.

Poor Poor me......

POOR POOR DEXTER

Poor poor Dexter, today he went into the vet and lost his manhood. The poor little guy is soooo sleepy and sore. He came home and tried to stay awake but soon his head was just to heavy and he gave into sleep. He also had an ear infection, so now I have to give him medicine for the next week. Charlie does not know what to think because Dexter is not chasing her around and barking. I am thinking she likes the melo Dexter much better.

Today I got to go to the dentist for 1 1/2 hours. It took forever. But now my tooth has its temp cap on it. It is much better because the tooth was really falling apart.

I have not gotten a whole lot done today between taking the dog to the vet and the dentist my day was shot. I did get to ride my bike this morning. I wish it was nice out because then I could go outside and run. Tonight I am making fish again for supper. I am going to bake them tonight. They should be good.

Another weekend gone by and nothing much new with me. I worked all weekend. It sucked on Sunday because of the time change. I lost an hour of sleep so it was like I was getting up at 3:00 A. M. instead of 4:00. I was not to tired yesterday but today I am . I even went to bed last night at 8:30 and got almost 7 hours of sleep. I think it delayed reaction to the time change :)

Last night after work all I wanted to do was come home and finish my book that I had about 10 pages left in. First I had to get my dishes done and then I made my lunch for work today. I just sat down to read and my neighbor came over to chat and play with Dexter. After he left my mom called then Christa called then Amy called. I finally got to finish my book at 8:00 last night. It was really good. It is the newest Stephen King book, Duma Key. I am a big Stephen King fan, I think I have read almost all of his books. Next I am going to read The Host by Stephenie Meyer. She is the one that wrote the Twilight books. I guess it is pretty good.

So my wrist has been hurting like crazy the last week or so. I think it has a lot to do with archery. It is a good thing archery season is almost over.

Today Noel is bringing me some fish into work that he caught yesterday. I am excited to have a meal of fish. I have not had fresh fish since last summer. To bad I have to be the one to cook them. Maybe I could talk someone into cooking them for me........

Dexter


I have had a couple nice relaxing days off. Dexter, Charlie and I are all getting along pretty good. We still have some work to do. Dexter still barks at Charlie but it is getting better.
I found out yesterday that we got into the Grandma's half-marathon in Duluth again this year. It will be fun to have Christa up there this year too. I sure hope my leg holds up. I am going to go for a run today. It is really nice out.
So my birthday is coming up and this year I am telling everyone that I do not want them to buy me anything. Instead I want them to go out and do something nice for someone else and then tell me about it. I don't care if it is big or small just do something nice. Cassie said I was being corny, but I don't care that is what I want. I will keep you updated on what everyone has done.
Yesterday I cooked again. That's like twice in the last few week. I don't know whats gotten into me, I must be sick. I made chicken pot pie, no not the frozen kind, I made it from scratch. It was good. I even have some leftovers to take to work this week.
So my tooth that needs to be crowned keep breaking off more. I am pretty sure by the time I get to the dentist next week there will be not much tooth left. At least it dose not really hurt.
I better get going if I am going to go run.

Today is my Friday! I have three days off and it sounds like it is going to be nice out. I hope all the snow melts fast. I want to see green again.

I finally got Dexter. I got him on Sat afternoon. He is doing pretty good. We are having some adjustments to Charlie but it is getting there. At least Charlie will come down off the fridge while Dexter is around. The trouble is Dexter is afraid of her so he barks and then she gets pissed. I am going to spend my days off working on the barking thing. I should get better after a week or so.....

I am really loving my Kindle. I am like a kid in a candy story, so many books I want to read how do I pick! I can tell already I will be spending way to much on books. It is worth it because I love to read.

I am at work and it is my lunch time so I am going to go eat
