Back to the cold and work.....

I am sad to say that I am back to work today. It always sucks coming back after a wonderful vacation. It really sucks to come back to such cold weather after being in 70 degree weather for 5 days.
So the vacation went great. We got into Vegas about 6:00. By the time we got to the hotel and all checked in everyone was starving. So a bunch of us went out for a late supper. By then we were all shot so we headed off to bed.
Thursday Rick and I took a limo ride to the courthouse to get our marriage license. The hotel takes you there for free when you get married in there chapel. After that we walked down the strip and just did a little sight seeing. At 3:45 we headed down to the chapel for the wedding. The wedding went great. We had 32 people there. It was great to see so many people there to be with us on our day. After the wedding about 24 of us all headed to the Belagio for supper. We ate at the buffet. It was so good. They had everything you could think of to eat. It was some pretty fancy food. After that we walked back to the Rivera and called it a night. It was a great day.
Friday was our first day of shooting. We did not have to shoot until 4:00 so we slept in. Then we went down to the trade show and spent a little money. We also went and watch some of the other people shoot. We had to go back down to the wedding chapel and pick out our pictures. I was very happy with them. We got a bunch of pictures with our wedding package. Some of the pictures are the ones I posted yesterday. By then it was 4:00 and time to shoot. Rick and I were on the same bale so that was nice. We also shot with a guy from Canada and one more from MN. They were both fun people to shoot with. After shooting we went to the BCY party for some free food and drinks.
Saturday we had to shoot at 10:00. The days shooting did not go so well for me. But I still had lots of fun. After shooting we headed out for some more sight seeing. We stopped at New York, New York for some lunch and ran into a bunch of the MN people. There was 3 different groups of people and we all ended up at the same place for lunch, it was pretty funny. After lunch Steve Washena, Rick and I walked to the end of the strip. Once we got there we took a cab to the Welcome to Vegas sign and then back to the hotel. We finished the night off by going to the Archers Appreciation dinner. By the time that was done it was 10:00 so we headed off the bed.
Sunday we had to get up bright and early so I could shoot at 7:00. I shot better on Sunday then I did on the first two days. I got 6th place in my flight so I won $40.00. Rick shot at 1:00 and then we watched to pro's in the shoot-off. After that was done a bunch of us headed for Fremont Street to check out the old part of Vegas. When we got back Rick and I walked around some of the other hotels and casinos. Then we went out for a late night supper.
Monday we packed up everything and checked out of the hotel. We had lots of time to waste since our plane did not leave until 7:00. So Eric, Serena, Rick and I spend some time walking around and doing a little gambling. Rick won around $20. and Eric was the big winner, winning almost $200. At 4:00 we all headed to the airport and were in the air at 7:00. We got back to MN at 12:00 and got home at 2:00.
Yesterday I was so tired. I had to run up to Savage and get Dexter from Cassie. It was a long drive because I was so tired. I did not do much the rest of the day. Last night we had league in Waseca but I did not shoot a score.
Vacation time is over and it is back to work for me!

VEGAS HERE I COME!!!!!!

That's right I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow!!!!!! Today is going sooooo slow, I don't think work is ever going to end. I am going to leave early just because I can. I want to go tanning one more time before I leave so that is my excuse for leaving early. I think I will leave at 3:30 or maybe 3:00 or maybe I will just leave now! Okay I will stay at least until 3:00. Tonight we have league in Waseca. I still have not packed a thing. Since I put all my clothes in my bow case with my bow I really could not pack until after league tonight. I usually have all my clothes all set out and ready to go but not this year. Not sure what is up with that, just have not got it done. Good thing we do not leave to tomorrow afternoon.
When I next update I will married!!! I am so excited!!!!!

Liam turned 3 on Sat. Amy and Adam had everyone over for a party. Liam was so excited. He is growing up so fast.
I had to work all weekend. It was so pretty in the mornings because the trees were all covered with frost. It was a winter wonder land, I should have taken some pictures. I also shot a regions score for archery this weekend. I shot okay a 293 33X. I was okay with it because I have really been struggling with target panic this year. Some days it is okay and others it is really bad.
Cassie is watching Dexter for us when we are going to Vegas. She was down for Liam's birthday so she took him on Sat. So she is going to have him for 9 days! He was not a good boy for her the first night. She said he barked and barked. So last night she let him sleep in bed with her and he was much better. I will have to retrain him to sleep in his kennel when we get back home.
Only 2 more days and I am off to Vegas!!!!

I've lost Liam and Josie to Rick

Yesterday I babysat Liam and Josie. Rick is home because he has no work this week. Well Liam loves Rick. He always wants Rick to play with him. I left them at home for a half hour when I went tanning. When I got home I could hear all this giggling coming from the living room. Rick and Liam were bowling with the beanie babies. Liam was wild, he was having fun. I am sure next time he comes over he won't even want to play with me it will be all Rick this and Rick that. Then there is Josie. I was putting up her pack and play and she started to just cry. She thought I was going to put her to bed. So I picked her up and took her out of the room and as soon as she saw Rick she was reaching for him. She sat on his lap forever. I have lost her too. My grandkids have abandoned me for Rick.

So the dentist went well. I like this dentist way better then the butcher I went to last year. I was very happy with his work. Now I just need to have the crowns put on and have the decay on the bottom of one of my old crowns fixed. Today I had to go get my teeth cleaned. As I was sitting in the dentist chair I was thinking about all the work I have had done. I have 15 crowns. They run about $1000. each. That is $15,000 worth of dental work. That is a ton of money for my teeth. At least my teeth look way better then they use to.

Today Dexter is at the vet getting groomed. After he gets back we are going to run to Mankato to get some paint for the bedroom. Since he is off he is going to paint. Tonight we have league in Faribo. I shot pretty good on Tue. at league, shooting a 295.

I am so ready to leave for Vegas. I cannot wait! I check the weather in Vegas now before I check it for home. It looks like it is going to be 65 and sunny when we fly in on Wed. So much nicer then it is here.

So we have been watching the HBO show Six Feet Under. It is off the air now but I have been getting them off Netflix. It is such a good show. It makes you laugh and it makes you cry. We just finished season one and I can't wait to see season two. They made 5 season's of it so I guess I will be busy for awhile!
My steak I had the other night was sooooo good. I figured it out and I think the last time I had a steak was right after I got out of the hospital last July. It was so worth the screwing up of my digestions system for two days! Of course I am sure it will be another 6 months before I try it again.
Today I am at work. After work I think I am going to go tanning. Rick is going to make us pizza for supper so we can eat it and watch the super bowl. I really don't care about the super bowl but you have to watch it. It is like the American thing to do.
Tomorrow I get to go to the dentist for my 3 1/2 hour appointment. I can hardly wait.

This is the text I got from Hannah last night at 5:55 our time. I think Hannah and Jane are more excited about the wedding then I am, at least that is what they keep telling me.
I wish I was in Vegas today instead of being at work watching the snow come down. At least I am having a good day at work. I got to tow a student vehicle first thing this morning. She is not going to be happy. I guess maybe now she will follow the rules like the rest of the students.
Tonight Rick is going to make me a steak for supper. It has been forever since I have had a steak. I have a hard time digesting red meat so I usually will not eat it. But I have been hungry for one so I am going to go for it. Sometimes it is worth the stomach ache I am going to get!

Last night Rick and I went down to the club to shoot a little while. He did very good shooting a perfect Vegas game! He should be ready to go when we go to Vegas in 13 days. I did not keep score last night but was shooting well. Tonight we have league in Farbo. I always hate the thought of going out at night but once I get there I have lots of fun. I would really miss seeing everyone if I did not shoot in Faribo. What I don't like about shooting there is every night at league we have to take a at least a 15 minute break at the halfway point. I hate it for a couple of reasons. One is that I get up very early for work and by the time we get done shooting and I get home it is usually 9:30-10:00. It takes us almost 2 hours to shoot one game in Faribo vs one hour or a little over an hour in Waseca. We do not take a break at the halfway point in Waseca and we still have plenty of time to socialize with everyone before, during and after we shoot. The other reason I hate taking a break is because we are all warmed up and shooting good and then we have to stop for a break. Then when we start up again it is like starting over again and we get no practice ends like we do in the beginning. Oh well I guess it does not matter what I think.

Today I don't have a whole lot to do on my last day off. I went tanning this morning. After that I went to Walmart and spent $130. We were out of everything. Dexter is being a bad dog today. He is barking a lot. There was another dog barking outside so he kept wanting to go out and then he would start barking. I hate that, I always make him come in if he starts barking. Well then when he came it he thought he should bark at me because he wanted to go out. Dumb dog!

It is back to work for me in the morning. Is sure hope the roads are not bad.

You should never fart while in a tanning bed.

So today I left work early so I could go to the dentist to get the news about my teeth. I should have stayed at work..... I am having two crowns put on, one filling on the bottom of a tooth that already has a crown on it and having my teeth cleaned. All of this is going to cost me $1023.80. Good thing I flexed $1000. this year. Of course being this is only February I am thinking maybe I should have flexed a lot more. I am going in on Monday for a 3 and a 1/2 hour appointment. Then back on Thur. to have my teeth cleaned. I can hardly wait.
I am on my three days off now and I really have nothing going on. It is nice to have days off and to be able to do nothing if I want to. I should be able to get a couple runs in and maybe even get on my bike. Oh that's right I just remembered I have a hair appointment on Wed. I better not forget that. I have to get my hair colored before our wedding to cover up all the gray.
Yesterday I went on the treadmill and was just started to speed up and Dexter decided he should jump on and run with me. It was soooo funny. I was going to fast for him and try as he might he could not keep up. He went right off the back. I could not believe it when he jumped on. I have been trying and trying to get him to come on it and he would not. Silly dog.
Tonight I think Rick and I are going to shoot a little and then we have a movie to watch.
