I should have known.....
Then there was the snow......It took my an 1 1/2 hours to get home. It usually takes me 45 minutes. It took me 40 minutes just to get from Northfield to Faribo. It was a very stressful drive home. I was suppose to go to league in Faribo last night but I did not. Rick picked me up and we just shot in Waseca. I shot a 295 29x. I was still a little wound up from the drive home. I should have just waited and shot tonight. Oh well.
I did have one really good thing happen yesterday. My Kindle finally came. Rick gave it to me for Christmas but it was on back order since Dec. The good news is that because he waited so long I got the new/better version of it. I think I am really going to like it. It is the best gift ever for a book lover like me.
Today it is back to work. The roads were okay coming to work. I was going along pretty good until I got behind a road grader that was going 5 to 10 miles an hour. I had to wait until the 4 cars in front of me passed him and then I was able to. So I just made it to work on time.
Well I guess I have wined enough for one day.

More Money Out The Door
I rode my bike today. I have not rode it since Jan 8th. That is a long time. I have really let my cardio go this winter. I am glad it will be getting nice out soon so I will be able to get back outside running and biking. I just hate doing it inside, it's not the same.
I had to book our camp site for the half-marathon already. I checked today and the place we stayed at last year was already filling up. If we don't get in I can cancel and only have to pay a small charge. Or maybe if we don't get in I will go up anyway and just have a fun weekend.
I am suppose to be cleaning my bathroom right now not be on the computer, so I guess I better get to it.

"Nothing is as far away as one minute ago." -Jim Bishop
Enough of that.....today I have not been up to to much. I went for a 3 mile run outside today. It is the first time I have run outside since thanksgiving. Oh I am way out of shape. My legs felt like rubber when I got done. I am pretty sure they are going to hurt tonight. I have a long way to go. But I am excited to be running at all. I sure hope my legs hold up. I figure if I keep wishing that they hold up it is bound to come true.
Other then that I have not done much today, just boring stuff. It is off to work tomorrow. I have to work 5 days in a row. I am sure it is going to just about kill me. I better get to bed early tonight. I did manage to get out of bed before 8:00 this morning. Way better then the last few days. That's it for today.

FUN FUN FUN
Yesterday was Liam's 2nd Birthday Party. He was so cute. He loved his cake that Christa made. The cake was very good, her best yet! Liam got so excited to open his presents. The party was very nice. Yesterday and today I have way over slept. I did not get out of bed until after 9:00 both days. Today Christa called and woke me up. It is a good thing or who knows how long I would have stayed in bed. I think I have had enough sleep now. After I finally got out of bed I had lots to get done. I lifted for the first time in 2 weeks. I am sure I will be sore tonight. Then I got all of my laundry done and swept and vacuumed. I just made brownies and now I am finally updating this! I know I have been super busy, okay maybe not that busy but at least I have not been sitting around doing nothing. On Wed. Cassie, Amy, Christa and I are going to try and get into the Grandma's half marathon again. I hope we get in. I really hope I can run. I am reading a book about Chi running now. I guess it is a better way to run to prevent injury's. And I know all about injuries! So I hope it helps. I am going to die when I start running again. I am way out of shape. On Sat. Rick brought me some roses for Valentine's day. He left them on my table 15 min. before I got home. In that 15 min. Charlie jumped on the table and knocked them over and made a huge mess. She is why I cannot have any flowers or plants in my house. As soon as they are bought in she is all over them. Stupid cat! Good thing I like her so much or she would have to go to cat heaven! Now I am going to go put all of my pictures in some albums.

Vegas was great...now it's back to work.
Vegas was so great. It is hard to back home and have to go back to work. Thank God I did not have to work today. We did not get to Waseca until 2:00 A.M. today. Our flight got in at 11:20 but by the time Cassie picked us up and we took her home and then drove to Waseca it was 2:00. So today I am just trying to recover.
Well Vegas was a blast from start to finish. Wed. when we got in and we just went out for supper and then went to bed. Thur. we were going to rent a car and go see Hoover Dam but all the cars were rented. So instead Rick and I went for a walk down the strip and then went back to the Riviera and went to practice shooting. After that we met up with Serena, Eric and a couple other people and went back down the strip and had supper and did a little shopping. Then we went down to the bar at the Riviera and had a couple drinks and just visited with a bunch of other archers.
Friday was our first day of shooting. We did not have to shot until 4:00 so we slept in and then just walked around the trade show and watched other people shoot. Shooting was fun. I was on a bale with Rick and right next to us was Paul. So Paul, Rick and I all were on the line at the same time. It was really fun to be able to shoot with them. Shooting went so much better for me this year then last. I was very happy with how I shot on Friday. After shooting we went to the BCY party on the top of the Riviera. They have food and drink for free, but best of all was the fact that Ted Nugent was getting inducted into the Bow hunters Hall of Fame. So he was there and his table was right next to ours. It was so cool. He was super nice to everyone he took pictures with all of us and him and his wife signed stuff for us. He gave a great speech. Even if I think he is really out there on his ideas, it was still great to see and talk to him. After that Jane, Paul, Hannah, Rick and I all went out for some dessert and then it was off to bed.
Sat. we had to get up a little bit early, 8:30, so we could get ready to shoot at 10:00. Shooting went good but not as good as on Fri. I was still pretty happy with it. After shooting we rented a car with Paul, Jane and Hannah and went to Hoover Dam. It was raining most of the day but we did get a break in the rain so we could enjoy seeing it. It was really something to see. When we get back we went to the Archers Appreciation Party. Again we had free food. But the big news of the night was that Rick WON THE GRAND PRICE for the party. They gave us all tickets when we walked in the door and then drew one after dinner. There was over a 1000 people there and they picked Ricks number. It was so exciting. Oh I guess you might want to know what he won.....He is going on a all expense paid guided White tale deer hunting trip with the owner of the Morrell Target company. He has land in Texas, Nebraska and South Dakota. Rick gets to pick where he wants to go. And while he is hunting they are going to be filming it for Dale Morrell's hunting show. I guess he has some hunting show on one of the cable channels. It is a trip of a life time for any hunter and best of all it is all paid for!
Sunday was the last day of shooting. I had to shoot at 7:00 and Rick at 10:00. I was again very happy with how I shot. It went so much better then last year. Last year I was in the 18th flight and this year I was in the 15th flight, so I moved up a lot. No money for me this year, I was in the middle of my flight. Rick shot great on Sunday. He placed just out of the money. Everyone else also shot good. Hannah was the best of us all placing 3rd in the youth class. She showed us all up. After shooting was all done a bunch of us went out for supper and then went to a couple of the different casinos and then down to the bar for a drink.
Monday we had to check out of the hotel by 11:00 so we stored our bags with the bell hop and then Paul, Jane, Hannah, Rick and I all went to a car show. It was a good way to waist some time before we could go to the airport. Jane had free passes for us all so if it is free I will go! About 3:30 we were off to the airport and then we were on our way home.
So now it is back to everyday life. I have lots of pictures that I will put up in the days to come.

poor poor Charlie
This is what I came home to today. This is just some of the hair that Charlie pulled out while I was at work. She does it because she in lonely. She does not do it on the days I am home from work. I am pretty sure she will have no hair left when I get home from Vegas. It is a good thing I am getting a dog so she is not so lonely. See you all when I get back.

Nobody puts Baby in the corner!
Did I tell you that today is my only day of work and then I leave for VEGAS!!!!!! I think I may have written about it once or twice before. Today is already been to long and I have only been at work for 2 hours.
Tonight I have to go shoot for league and then I am going to get my stuff packed. I cannot pack until then because I put all my clothes etc in my bow case. I have everything ready to go, I just need to pack it in. Somehow I think I may have a little trouble getting it all in. You just never know what you will need on vacation.
I hope Christa gets over her winter blues soon. I will try and soak up a bunch of sunshine for her when I am in VEGAS.
Lets see it is now 8:20 only 7 hours and 10 minutes to go before I can leave work.
Tick tock, tick tock ,tick tock, tick tock, tick tock........

I Think I Will Keep Him????
This is Dexter. I have had him since Friday morning to see if I like him. After a bad start things have gotten much better and I think I am falling in love. I know what do I want a dog for..... But he is just so ugly/cute how can you resist. Charlie and Dexter are finally getting along a little better. Well at least Charlie will now come down off the fridge and be in the same room as Dexter, it will get better. But I have to send Dexter back to Rita's house for a couple days because I am going to VEGAS!!! I leave on Wed. afternoon, I cannot wait! It should be lots of fun again this year. I hope to shoot much better this year then last. Of course my bad shooting last year did earn my $40.00 in winnings. Yesterday I shot my regions score in Faribault. I shot a 296 35X. I was happy with that, again much better then last years regions score. This year archery is going much better, it has been a lot more fun now that I have decided that I am going to just relax about it and not get all worked up if I have a bad night. Well I guess I should get in the shower and get going on my day. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday everyone.
